Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar - Bagac Bataan

Pride in the Past... Hope for the Future…

April 26, 2018, my family together with my friends goes to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. The heritage site was located in the town of Bagac, Bataan, Philippines 2107 from our place Pilar Bataan it took less than an hour to be able to reach this beautiful place.

One of the tour guides introduced the different story of the old mansions or houses and things in the location. I am very thankful to our tour guide because with her I learn many new things from the past aside from being so hospitable.

Inside Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar you will see different houses and mansions that will amaze you. Some are replicas, but most are originals collected from various provinces like Bulacan, Cagayan, Pampanga, La Union, Tondo and a lot more. Those mansions and houses are carefully taken into pieces to preserve their antiquity.
One house name Casa Baliuag caught my attention for it has so many great stories to tell. Regarding to the tour guide the Casa Baliuag house was moved to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in 2007.

Casa Baliuag – This house was built in 1898 in front of the Baliuag Church in Baliuag, Bulacan. Highly floral in motif as was the custom during those times, the house was owned by Kapitan Fernando Vergel de Dios who had two wives in his lifetime. The first wife was Carmen Fausta de Leon, with whom he had nine children. Unfortunately, Carmen died. After a year, he married again, this time to Angela Nuñez, with whom he had 12 children – for a total of 21 children in his lifetime.

The lower part of the house was called luwasan (passage way, but can mean “to leave for”) because this is where Bulakeños waited for their ride to Manila. Taking advantage of the many people who stood in front their house, the owner set up shops for two businesses, a photo studio and a post office.

The mansions tour took less than two hours and it’s really worth it. After the tour we used to explore the place more.

More photos inside Casa Baliuag House.

We also see the Rocks of Teddy (Philippine Band) vocalist Teddy Corpuz with his family who also exploring the beauty of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. My son enjoyed playing in the pool and he really had so much fun for the sun may be as its brightest.

Of course in a tour like this eating won’t be misplace. We eat our lunch in a villa where they served Filipino food, but you can choose other food like Mexican dishes. We eat palitaw for our meryenda. Palitaw is a small, flat, sweet rice cake eaten in the Philippines.

Truly, it is more fun in the Philippines. It’s more fun in Bataan.

Letter of Complaint to M Lhuillier Balanga Branch 2

July 6, 2018

M Lhuillier Balanga Branch 2
P. Burgos Street,
Brgy Poblacion,
City of Balanga, Bataan,
Philippines 2100

To The Management,

Last July 3, 2018 I visited your physical workplace to get a remittance. And I am sending you this letter of complaint because as a regular customer of your company, I am very dismayed by the failing level of service from one of your staff I don’t have her full name but she was assigned in the remittance area that day at 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

What happened that day was very disappointing, after giving the filled out paper of mine for my remittance and give her my Identification card for verification, she said with a loud tone that they don’t have enough cash for my remittance which is fine for me, what’s not good is that when I am getting back my ID because she get it together with my paper, she said that I don’t give it and insisted what she think. She calls other staff to look for my ID inside her cubicle, and then her coworker saw it.

After that I thought she will say sorry because of what happened, but she shouted in your guard and say that “You should not make the client for remittance enter because we don’t have funds already.” I am not sure if she’s not feeling well or she has her own problem but her attitude is very upsetting.

The behavior of one customer service staff should not reflect on the rest of the company. Thus, if you may so kindly look into the actions of this person to make sure that the incidents like this will not happen again, as it will be such a shame to have the reputation banished by a bad service from a single employee.

I want to thank you in advance for investigating on this matter further. I hope that there will be improvements regarding your service soon.

Sincerely,
Concerned Citizen

Timezone Play at Vista Mall Balanga Bataan

Last September 23, 2017 Vista Mall, Balanga Bataan opens Timezone Play.

Okay sya kasi mag-eenjoy talaga yung mga kids. But parents or guardians can't leave their kids without someone who will keep an eye on their children, one good thing is that hindi na kailangan magbayad ng guardian o ng sasama sa bata. Adult can also play in the Timezone playground kasi malaki talaga ang playground.

Fee: P200/hour, P110/half hour

Note: Much better if you and your kids have foot socks, kasi hindi pwede pumasok kung hindi ka naka medyas. Anyway they sell foot socks just tell to their cashier or staff.

Kids will surely experience the fun of role play games, slides, mazes and fun obstacles here.

Lodi at 60

February 18, 2018 we celebrated our mother's 60th birthday. We all feel blessed and grateful for having her as our mother, masasabi mong "sana lahat ng nanay kagaya niya." Just wanna say thank you for your unconditional love and for all the support, care and most especially for the genes that you gave us. haha.

A simple celebration took place at our residence because she doesn't want to celebrate her birthday anywhere else. She just wants us, her children, and our families, to be complete on that day (unfortunately, we weren’t 100% complete since my husband and one of our sister worked abroad). We bought foods to eat and to share to our neighbors. For lunch, we had inihaw na bangus, dinuguan, and nanay’s request, lechon baboy. For merienda, we had pansit palabok, spaghetti, puto and dinuguan, softdrinks, ice cream, and of course, a cake for her to blow.

To you nanay we are wishing you more years of love, happiness, fun and laughter. May our good Lord continue to give you and tatay good health. We love you both.
Here are some of our family photos during our mother's 60th birthday celebration.

Their function room was good for 120 persons. Party hosts were awesome, not only kids were entertained, even those who are young at heart enjoyed. Hehe.. Thank you McDonald's staffs for the kind superb service you've provided.

I was wondering what my son's thinking then, maybe he wishes that his dad was there to celebrate with us that day. (LDR guys! he's out of the country.) Anyway special thanks to his ninong Lean and ninang Jaybee for the birthday cake with Naruto design one of Rondo's favorite character, and to ate Andrea who personally baked the cake, two thumbs for it. God bless you more guys. :)

Overall, I can vouch that celebrating birthdays at mcdonald's are absolutely hassle-free.

Photo credits to Bhelam Photography for all the great photos. Thanks to all who attended Rondo's 7th Bday and for all your warm wishes, can't upload all the pictures here. hehe
